Note: This is the method you use for Intel GPU equipped ThinkPad on Windows 7, if you have Nvidia Optimus enabled ThinkPad, then you have to use a different method.
Step 1: Right click on empty desktop to get a drop down menu, and then select ‘Graphics Properties’.
Step 2. Select Advanced Mode and Click Ok.
Step 3. Go into General Settings, and under Refresh Rate select 60p Hz, and then press Apply and then Ok
